Open Studio
Open studio is a student-led class. Students arrive with a goal in mind, and the teacher helps them realize their vision and build the skills they need.
Your goal can be as simple as “I want to learn how to use my sewing machine”, “I got halfway through this project and got stuck”, or “I’ve always wanted to try crochet”. I also have projects on hand you can try out. Materials are included, within reason.
I can confidently assist you in:
Advanced Quilting, Knitting, Cross-stitch, selecting fibers and fabrics, sourcing materials, sewing machine support
Intermediate Clothing Sewing, Crochet, Embroidery, Macrame
If you feel uncertain, send a note through the contact form.
Saturday Morning - Kid Focused
Saturday mornings are for the kids. Children who are able to reliably follow directions and remain focused for the duration of class can be dropped off (usually 8+, but you know your child). Younger children or those needing additional support may have an adult helper attend for free. Adults who are making their own projects should sign up for a slot.
Tuesday evening - Adult Focused
Tuesday evenings are for teens and up. You can bring your own project to get some help, or I can help you get started on your next project using my materials.
What will I Make?
The goal of open studio is build skills and explore materials - not necessarily to make a project from start to finish. Unfinished projects will be sent home with a note about next steps and can be completed at home or on your next visit.
