Summer Camps

Summer Clothes | June 22–24 & July 27–29

Just in time for summer, campers will learn the basics of garment sewing by making their own pair of shorts. Once the main project is done, we'll use the remaining time to sew a few fun accessories to round out their warm-weather wardrobe. No experience necessary — just a love of making things and wearing what you make.

America 250 | June 29–July 1

Americans have a long tradition of marking national milestones with quilts — in 1976, communities across the country made bicentennial quilts documenting local history and celebrating the occasion. This year, as the country turns 250, we'll carry on that tradition. Campers will learn the classic log cabin block, one of the most iconic patterns in American quilting, and make their own small quilt to mark the moment.

Travel Creating | July 6–8

Some crafts are perfect for a long car ride or a lazy afternoon at the beach. In this camp, students will learn three portable crafts — embroidery, hand sewing, and crochet — that they can take anywhere the summer takes them. They'll also sew a zippered bag to keep all their supplies organized and ready to go.

Handmade Doll | August 3–5

In this camp, campers will sew their very own handmade doll from scratch — cutting, stitching, and stuffing their way to a one-of-a-kind creation. They'll learn basic construction skills on the sewing machine while making something they'll actually want to keep. A great camp for kids who love to make things they can play with.

Middle Schoolers + | August 10–12

This week will be reserved for sewists who will be entering 6th grade or higher in the fall. We will make and customize clothes and other items. Music and general vibe will be geared toward them without having to suffer through the little kids.

What to Expect

Spend a few days this summer learning to sew, stitch, and create. Our three-day camps are designed for kids 8 and up, with a different theme each week and projects that build real skills. Each day includes guided project time where campers work toward a finished take-home project, plus open studio time to experiment, explore, and follow their own curiosity. No experience necessary — just a love of making things.

Camps run Monday through Wednesday, 10 am – 2 pm, with a break for lunch. Campers should bring a lunch and water bottle. Sign up now!
